"The Scramble for Africa"
The Scramble for Africa took place during the late 1800's and early 1900's when the Europeans began to divide upAfrica. The main European nations involved in the scramble were Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Belgium. These Nations were looking in Africa for their Natural resources. The Europeans were able to conquer the African people so easily because they had more advanced technolgy than the Africans such as guns. The scramble hurt the African people because it Destroyed alliances of tribes and put enemy tribes together this is called Tribalism.
